About Me

My name is Lamont. I’m a disabled Navy veteran who served for almost a decade. During those years, I learned a lot about resilience and perseverance, which I carried into my civilian life.

After leaving the Navy, I started a general contracting business that flourished for 27 years. It provided for my family and was my baby in many ways. However, life threw me a curveball in the form of a disability that made it impossible to continue down that path.

As a widower caring for seven children, six grandkids, and even a few great-grandchildren, I knew I couldn’t just stop working. I needed to find a way to sustain my family and create a legacy they could rely on. So, I ventured into new territories, attending endless real estate conferences and investing thousands in multi-level marketing—a costly detour that taught me some hard lessons.

Despite the setbacks, I never lost my resolve. I declined to give in to false promises and get-rich-quick schemes, hoping to secure a better future for my family. Amid my search, I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliates, an encounter that changed my life.

Initially, I raised an eyebrow. Would this be another false promise? However, they asked for no upfront money and provided refreshing transparency. More importantly, they set clear expectations: your effort directly impacts your success.

After years of trial and error, I posted my first website in just two weeks. The ease of following their step-by-step courses and video guidance, which I could pause and revisit, boosted my confidence. It felt like the stars had finally aligned.

This was my turning point—a newfound venture that excited me in ways past endeavors hadn’t. It led me to launch my brand, Veteran Voyage, which represents the adventures and opportunities I discovered, rooted in my unwavering will to leave a legacy.
